Application Status

I submitted my app (online) last weekend, but still no email from Cornell. I got the email from common app saying that everything had been submitted/paid. Has this happened to anyone else? I know they say 2 weeks, but I didn't think it would take that long since I submitted it online. For people who already submitted their application, how long did it take before you got the email from Cornell? Thanks!

Yesss, I submitted my application 8/20/2007 and they said that they would send out pin numbers September 4/5. However, I called last week and they said the pin numbers should be coming out by the end of the week. I think we should be patient, it is a tedious process after all =). In the meantime, it may help to call and just ask what has been received.

Thanks! That makes me feel much better! :)

No problem =), I felt relief when the nice lady told me that they hadn't been sent out yet too. If it helps, according to the person I spoke with, they were "imaging" the letter or recs/counselor sheets about 3 days ago.

Wait...does my transcript and letters of rec, etc. have to be in before I get a pin? I thought the pin was mailed when they receive the application, and then the other items would be added to your status as it comes in. My counselor still has not mailed the additional info, and now she has to try to "find" my teacher recs that were sent to her office more than a week ago! :(

No, you do not need other additional information to get a pin. A pin is issues when you submit your common application. Once you get a pin you will be able to login to check on your status. Your status page will tell you when each additional information is received.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I was just worried that I have not received the pin yet, even though I submitted the application online last weekend. But according to laptop, the pins have not been sent yet, so that makes me feel better.
