Application Status

heY Guys i just check my status and got the followings (im a transfer student for spring 09)

Your application is being evaluated. Once your grade point average is calculated and your eligibility is confirmed, your application will be ready for a decision from or a referral to your college.

Wanted to know if ne of the accepted transfers received a message like this be4 they got in?

Or does neone else have this message, or had it be4 and whether u got accepted or denied?

gator2008,

That's a standard message. It basically means that they've received all the documents and they're being evaluated if you have the minimum requirements for the college you're applying for.

After they finish the evaluation, your application is going to be completed, and reffered to your disered college for their evaluation. When you're in this stage the message is going to change to something like " Your application is now complete. It has been reffered to your college and a decision is going to be made soon" something along those lines.

Once you can see above message it's wise to call the college you're applying to directly. They will most likely tell you if you're in or not.

Good Luck!

Thanksssssssssss

Anyone know roughly how long it takes to find out if you've made it or not after applying? I'm also a Spring 2009 transfer applicant.

whats ur status as of now sune45

n the school ur applying to....i heard it takes about 4 to 5 wks after they send it to ur prospective college

I'm in the "Your application is being evaluated. Once your grade point average is calculated and your eligibility is confirmed, your application will be ready for a decision from or a referral to your college" stage.

"Your transfer application may be missing some elements. View the tables below to determine what is needed to complete your application. If you have sent information to us recently, please allow time for processing."

How recently is "recently," lol. I'm taking the CLAST test this Saturday morning, so maybe they're just still needing that yeah? I wonder how long it'll take for the test scores to be sent...

Sune45,

What documents are you missing?
The time it takes really depends of the type of documents that at the moment you're missing.

They have my application, application fee, college and major identified, high school and community college transcript (as of now), and my SAT scores. So I guess they just need my CLAST that I'm taking this weekend....? Maybe?

call ASAP! and ask them wat ur missing

Called in and they said I've got everything in. Turns out the CLAST won't matter till I'm admitted (if I am anyway, lol).

did they give u ne other info..like when u would hear anything...wat college did u apply 2?

Journalism. They said it could be roughly six weeks, and once my info.'s sent to them I should call and ask them directly how long it'll be at that point.

so that means when u get the next message that say ur application has been sent to the college u applied to?

Yeah, it should.

blandonfrank,

I just got the next message where my appl is being sent to my college...when i call what should i ask? how long will it take for a decision to be made? What are my chances? Should i just ask if im accepted?

THanks!!!

That's awesome! What date was your application accepted?

5.28.08!!!!!!!

"Your application has been referred to your college and a decision should be available soon. Admission decisions for upper-division candidates are made by the college."

Ahhhh, I have the message too now! gets all excited lol
