Still waiting here!

I got denied, 1920 SAT got wait listened at Santa Clara and accepted to UC SANTA CRUZ from out of state (massachusetts), that doesn’t make any sense to me. I applied early December and this school was so unprofessional about their admissions process making people wait 6 months and to just say denied under astatus is really sad

I’m really sorry. I feel like a lot of the wrong people who would actually consider LMU get denied. At this point I’m losing hope and thinking I’ll get similar news. I’m assuming you found out under MyPaw? And when did it change?
I wish you the best of luck, I’m sure you’re going places!

Well I was denied at 1 on the portal. Good luck guys.

After months or waiting, S was waitlisted. He received a letter by mail. He is so disgusted with LMU, and has decided to commit to Lewis and Clark today. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I feel like everyone who was still waiting to hear back is getting denied and that is very frustrating.
Looks like it’s either Emerson or University of Texas for me! :)

I’m just going to keep positive as my portal remains to say “Currently Under Review” !

@lamom626…was your son ea deferred? My d letter sent out the same day as your son’s but we are on
the East Coast. Did it show wait listed on MYPAW or does it just remain App Under Review? I am guessing
my d will find out on the MYPAW before she gets a letter. Trying to keep hope for her, but there hasn’t been much good news on this site lately. Good luck to all waiting.

@apamom, he applied RD. Mypaw hasn’t changed. He just received a letter saying he was wait listed and wouldn’t hear until mid-May. Good luck to you!

Thanks… guessing that if d was ea deferred already there would just be a denied. Can’t imagine they
would drag it out any longer. My d applied in Sept.! Too long, too stressful a wait already. Wish that this
school could do things consistently. I think plan B isn’t too far off at this point, unfortunately.

Malkman, not sure about why the denial, but as noted elsewhere, with private universities, particularly ones with a religious affiliation, “fit with the mission” is something they consider. LMU does not require you to be Catholic, but you may recall one of the essays did address mission fit. UCSC, on the other hand, has become notorious (along with all the UCs) the last few years for admitting large numbers of out of state students to our “land grant institutions.” Their charter is to education the children of California, though. Bottom line: you pay out of state tuition and kids of California do not. Now that CA is in the black again fiscally, and more money is going once again to our UCs, CSUs, and public K-12 schools, we may see a refocus and a renewal.

Did you notice LMU is closed Monday? So, they have either sent everything and scheduled everything to get updated in mypaw in 3 days OR they are doing their last batch on 4/1.

Mine still says in review. SIGH!

In previous years they have run late.

Truth be told, I do hope there are still acceptances to be announced. However I pray that we will be accepted!

@laplatinum: This is why I’m hesitant about this school even if I get accepted. I actually tried to not sound very non religious in my essays, and I may have to worry about acting or sounding non-religious when I’m there, I hope it’s not that serious there.

I’m still waiting! I’ve checked MyPaw religiously and it still says it’s under review. I’ve gotten no mail from them and I’m getting ready to just give up. I’ve already got into the University of San Francisco and they’ve given me a really nice financial aid package. Should I still keep waiting?
