Application still under review

So my application is still under review and I'm not sure what's going on. Every day I'm getting more and more nervous. I really hope I'm not rejected, LMU's my last chance really. I think I have the stats to get in, I have family that's graduated from there (if that helps), and I wrote a pretty good essay. Is anyone else still waiting for their decision? I know a couple people at my school still waiting, and it seems to me that everyone still waiting applied for some sort of science. I did science undeclared. If you're still waiting please reply with the major you applied to so I can see if this trend has meaning to it.

I hope I hear back soon from them.

My kid is still waiting, liberal arts undeclared. He’s assuming the worst, as it is so late in the process. Good luck to you!

What are his stats? I don’t get their admission decision reasoning. It seems like people who are qualified aren’t being accepted.

Their reasoning is based off of many factors besides stats, and with thousands of applications, there is no way they can admit every qualified person.

I am also still waiting… And I applied with the intention of a Health and Human Science major. That’s very interesting that the science applicants haven’t heard. I am getting very nervous too!

Still waiting as a deferred Film Production EA applicant. At this point, I have better options, so LMU has fallen pretty far off my list. Though, their admissions process makes for that.

^^^I agree with JackMaurice. My son has many other colleges showing him the love now, he’s definitely moved on, far, far away from LMU. I don’t think LMU ever responded to any of his emails.

My application is also still under review as a deferred film production major. At this point I have already been accepted as a film production major at Chapman Dodge with a scholarship. LMU was rather unprofessional with the early action results as they did not notify me of my status until I called them about two weeks after I was supposed to here, and they told me they had skipped my application but that I would be notified soon.

I’m not in a position to move on from LMU because they are taking so long to get back to me, I need this school, but I have to say that for a school with rolling admissions this is unacceptable. They should get back to all applicants way sooner, they can’t be this swamped with applications.

Is anyone else not able to get into their MyAid on their portal? Does that mean I have been rejected? My status still says under review, but the MyAid isn’t working at all.

Waiting for ME major. won’t be long as school closes tomorrow. Not sure why many schools wait until last days to notify.

@Tessa2013 I can still access the MyAid section on the portal. Did you try again? What came up when you clicked on it?

My son called admissions this morning and was told that the last batch of decisions will be mailed by the end of the day today. Then, the admissions office closes until Monday April 1st. No joke.

Looking back at past year’s threads, it looks like this last batch is mostly waitlist and rejections. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

What a negative, totally unnecessary thing to say, @monique77. It may be true, it may not be. As a fellow parent, I found your need to categorize it as

to be in poor taste on a thread mostly aimed at students and where some students are still waiting. Not to mention that you repeated this supposition on another thread verbatim. Why not let students have a few more moments of hope rather than be the “Grinch” of the boards?

…Especially since CC is not universally visited by every student applying to college and what appears as a snapshot of results may or may not be representative of the reality.

Class profile 2012 applicants approx 12K, Accepted approx 6K(50%), registered 1276(Approx 10%) per LMU website. With rolling admissions they have an idea of how many have registered from those accepted, and hopefully will accept more - they just won’t be on this website, they will be celebrating! We are optimistic !
