Application submitted :D

I have finally submitted my application, after over 4 months of editing and writing, although everything isn't perfect, I am happy :D
Hopefully I will be able to study with some of you guys next year :D

are you transferring? how do you just submit your application now?

yeah, i am transfer :D

i wanted so badly to submit my app BEFORE the deadline Mar 1 but... i couldn't send in the essay until i knew it was perfect. perfect perfect.

its still not but I was forced to get it done. Sent it in at around 130 am March 1 (cst). mailed the supplement because the formatting from common app didnt work.

crosses fingers
good luck.

its so nice to have that weight off my shoulders. outta my hands now, and into the pile.

hey, i am from Canada
may i ask what was your reason for transfering?
I want to go to a much smaller school, and i found the courses at Dartmouth more fitting, that's my reasons :D
good luck to you too :D

i just looked up macalester college, seem pretty good, very small :D

yes, indeed, VERY small.
which is my main motiviation for transferring. Almost no upperclassmen live on campus so it feels like a school half its size. it feels like boarding high school. i cant meet people outside my dorm, there is not much social scene on campus because upperclassmen have cars and go out to enjoy the city but im stuck on campus.
i am happy with the quality of academics here, and only considered schools that i know would have at least the same standard.
those are my main reasons. I was just totally unprepared for the true size of the school. Everybody else I know is thrilled with Mac. They love the size.
i love the school, but i feel claustrophobic and like im suffocating socially. its complicated

but good luck :D
i guess coming from Mac, you are in much better position than i am lol, best of luck to both of us :D

thank you,
the very best luck to both of us, agreed :-D

do any former dartmouth transfers remember about when they found out? it says "no later than mid may" so does that mean it could be early may?

i remember reading the decision date is May 1st

where did you see that?

college board says april 25th, and the Dartmouth site says "no later than mid-May"
most schools try to get letters out before end of term....?
so you know at the end of the year what you are doing with your stuff... (storage, shipping home etc) as well as your life haha
