Application to Caltech just sent...7 mins late =[

Okay, so I feel relieved that I finished my caltech app. However, I'm worrying now (even though I am 101% sure that I won't be accepted early, or even deferred for that matter) because I sent everything in my application (w/ payment) at 12:07 PM, according to my clock today, (Nov. 4th). Technically, the deadline was Nov. 3rd, but they "extended" it to Nov. 4th by noon Pasadena, CA time. My slow internet and unexpected freeze-up during previewing the app prevented me from sending in before 12:00 =[ Does any one know if they will still consider it for early action?

This was the email about their "extension":

"Caltech's Early Action Deadline is just around the corner--November 3rd. I am often asked if we mean midnight on the 3rd, midnight in Pasadena on the 3rd or when it is midnight in the last place on earth on the 3rd. To make things easy for you, we will accept any application submitted by noon (Pasadena, CA time) on November 4th.

Don't think of this as an deadline extension. This is our way of making sure that your aren't panicked at 11:47 pm on the 3rd. Take your time and finish your application up right. It would even be okay if you submitted your application early."

You're totally fine, don't worry! It's not going to limit your chances and you will still be considered for early action.
Good luck!

Uhoh, I would start crying now because you are sure to get a reject... I mean come on... seven minutes jesus

I got that email too. They seem like a pretty understanding bunch, and I doubt they get too swamped around EA, so it should be ok. The worst that could happen is that you get automatically deferred, so it's not the end of the world either way.

I hope so, but I was late for the "extended" deadline, so I was worried. But then again, the chances of me getting accepted are literally near 0%...sending the app late just seemed to go against my work ethics lol. Either way, thanks guys for your comments.
