Hi, i'm currently waiting for my A level results to be released, but I really don't think I would score well.

I want to know if I could apply for a decent US college with my O level scores (6 As, 4Bs) and SAT(reasoning) score of 1950. I'm also planning to take SAT subject test for chinese and retake the SAT(reasoning) a second time if doing so can widen my options.

My extra curriculars are not very impressive but I do take part in many external activities like going for a few language classes, taekwondo, guitar, ceramics, etc. I'm not sure if they count for anything?

What do you want to study? What sort of university are you looking at? Which country are you from? Can you pay for your education out-of-pocket or do you need financial aid? We need more details.

I’m from singapore. I’m looking for a good liberal arts college, preferably one that can give me a bang for the buck. College fees are not too big a problem because my family can afford it.

I´m looking at Westminster (utah), would that be a reach?

I also want to know if my personal external activities (like those i listed above) could be useful for my application because my school extra curriculars are very average. I spend more time doing other activities that are no offered as CCA in my school. What else could I do when time is not a limiting factor (I have about a year to work things out)?

Everything you do outside of class is an EC, whether it is organized by the school or not. That includes private music lessons, sports, a job and even babysitting your younger siblings (I would only mention the latter if it consumed a lot of your time though. Babysitting 6 hours a day = an EC, babysitting 3 hours a week is a family chore.)

You sure you wanna go to Utah? I’m not questioning your judgement, but just so you know, Utah is culturally very different from the rest of North America. Not sure how diverse Westminster is.
