I sent my ACT score in and received a confirmation email earlier in September, but on the application tracker it does not show it as received (it also doesn’t show as missing.) Is there something else I need to do?
If you just applied and received access to the application tracker, it takes a couple of days for them to get everything matched up.
Thanks
If by Monday morning it’s still not there give them a call. We’ve found that stuff loads over the weekend (including admission decisions!).
Now the app tracker is showing that I have my online app, act, and transcript in. It also says they will let me know on Nov 6th if the app is complete? Does this mean that’s when they will make a decision? I applied Oct 9th
Nov. 6th is the Monday following the first deadline and that sounds a bit like boilerplate. Perhaps that’s when your application goes into Committee but they never say that so this is just a guess. Unless they are so bogged down they can’t communicate anything earlier, and assuming you have actually handed everything in, your tracker will likely change to “complete” well before Nov. 6th. You may even get a decision before then. A lot depends on your application and which college you are applying to. Decisions will arrive no later than Jan. 31st for the early deadline but many will be out before that time.
For some reason UMN Tracker communication is always so vague that everyone resorts to “reading the tea leaves” to get any meaningful communication from it. There’s usually some nuanced hint that your decision is only a day or two away but as the hint changes from year-to-year it’s hard to get a handle on what it could be this year. Also, these are typically the result of small changes to the system from year to year, not UMN trying to mess with heads (although it does appear to be the latter many times).
Good luck to you!
