<p>Is anyone else's application tracking lagging?</p>
<p>I just noticed:</p>
<p>"Any documents mailed via postal service to our office will not be received and processed in time for this year's selection."</p>
<p>on the admissions blog, when my mail (reached before that update) hasn't been processed yet... oh no?</p>
<p>But there is still another sentence in the announcement:
“If you need to send in any missing documents to MIT Admissions, please fax them to 617-258-8304.”
So maybe they have already formed the committee, yet still provide us a way to update the application.</p>
<p>^You should use the fax for required application materials only, though.</p>
<p>I called admissions today. They’re still getting in scores from the January SAT and haven’t updated them all yet. What are you missing in tracking?</p>
<p>^Oh, that’s a bit of a relief… I hope it’s just the processing. </p>
<p>Well, long story, but my counselor’s letter was late so I offered to expedite it for her with some supplemental material. I did email admissions asking if mail was fine before putting it all in the mail, since I find fax quite unreliable, among other reasons, and I trust it was okay. I suppose I did what I could, and wouldn’t blame them if they have no time to review it at this point. So I’m just kind of worried not to see it ‘processed’ on my account.</p>
