Application Tracking?

How do I make sure they received supplementary information I sent? I am having a supplementary recommendation letter faxed to them, and I faxed an extra essay to them.

For ACT/Subject Test scores, if the test date appears for the application tracking, does that mean they received the scores? Or are the dates from the self reported section?

Also, for my two teacher recommendations, one teacher sent it over naviance and using “applywithus”. I believe the other only sent it over naviance. Is this a problem? I heard there is an additional evaluation in the “applywithus”. Should I ask my teacher to submit it over “applywithus” as well? For the teacher who sent his rec only over naviance, how would I know if you received it? He submitted it last night and it doesn’t appear under the application tracker. I am assuming this is because he didn’t submit over “applywithus”.

Yes. The self reported section is unofficial. Once they receive your scores, they will have all sorts of information about your scores, including your test date.

I would call them about all other concerns. You should not have faxed an extra essay to them. Everything “extra” should have been said either in your interview or the “Is there anything else you would like us to know?” section.

Why would you fax extra essay?

Yes, why an extra essay? If I was an admissions person, I’d just check the box “can’t follow simple directions” for this application. If they wanted an extra essay, MIT would ask for it.

I’m pretty sure they said you can send in additional info id you want as long as it can be faxed.

It would seem to me that an additional recommendation really doesn’t fit the definition of a supplemental info.
