Application Update IGETC FOREIGN LANGUAGE HS SECTION

Language other than English (LOTE) -- 2 yrs of the same language in high school w/grades of C or better; or college-level course(s) (check assist.org for your school); or AP language exam scores of 3, 4, or 5; or IB (higher level) language exam score of 5, 6, or 7.

LOTE - HS Course, College Course, AP Exam

What do I enter for this section? Do I fill in my high school course and do as I did for my college courses?

that's what I did. i put the high school course and the grade i got

Where does it say that on the application update? What section do you mean? I don't remember putting anything about my high school classes on my UC app, except where I went to HS.

I'm doing IGETC also. It says that first part (from the transfer8076's post) on my CC's IGETC worksheet, but nowhere on any of my apps. I just checked off the IGETC box.

its only on the Cal forms that they require you to submit as additional info.

I got a question too:

What if I don't have the foreign language requirements, but I speak two foreign languages- would that be enough to appease them?

vodka, you need the classes for foreign languages. simply knowing them is not enough, i believe

if you get accepted, you would have to take the proficiency exam to be exempt from that ge

that is if they allow transfer students to do that..

There are exams at my CCC, I would think at all the other ones, that is a class equivalency exam which you take to get credit for the class.
