<p>Hey Claysoul, you mention it's critical "to have intelligent questions to ask, not just fillers to get your name out there." What exactly are intelligent questions? Things that don't appear on their website, sure, but anything else?</p>
<p>Hrm, I'm not really sure how to answer that generally, so I guess what I can do is give you examples. </p>
<p>For instance, I had a lot of questions about how the financial aid system for transfers worked, so I asked detailed questions about that. I actually ended up talking to the dean of transfer admissions (which I think helped with getting in!!)</p>
<p>Or if you have questions about the kinds of research going on in a department, that kind of thing. </p>
<p>Anything DETAILED I would say is a good question. </p>
<p>Or you can build off something you already know like "I heard that brown has a really good academic advising system, can you tell me more about that?"</p>
