Application

I have a 3.65-3.85 GPA on their scale and a 1710 SAT. I'll figure it out exact. Taking the ACT this Saturday for merit money, but it won't affect my admission.

Class President, lots of community service, baseball, football, stuco chairman, prom committee, etc pretty good resume

Great letters of rec and essay

First generation for college in my family

*from the northeast (MA) what are my chances?

Applied last month. Thanks!

I’m also originally from MA but moved to florida my freshman year. I think you are a well rounded student and have a pretty good chance. Your GPA is good, especially if it is in the 3.8 range. Your test scores could be better, but I have heard that usf likes to see a high gpa verses a high test score. How many honors, AP, or dual enrollment classes have you taken? I also applied last month and I am waiting to hear back too.

Thanks for the feedback, Jules! I’ve taken all honors since freshman year and have 1 AP this year. I have a few CP along the way that were mandatory classes like computer, gym, and that sort of stuff. Good luck to you as well

your ap class and honors should help as well. Here’s the usf matrix grid to see your chances

Good luck!

One question, when it talks about the academic success factors, can you get multiple points for the same one? For example it said 1 success factor would be additional foreign language course (on top of the 2 required) I took 3 yrs of Spanish and 1 yr of Latin, so I’d get 2 pts right?

No, I believe you’d get 1 point for fulfilling the category.
