Application

USC Thornton requires a resume and a statement of objectives. Would those be on the same page (on the resume)? Or on different pages... Also, would the resume only include my music experiences/highlights?

I would put them on different pages, with different headings. And if the resume is for the music school, then it should reflect musical accomplishments mainly. You can title it that way to make it clear. (But to be sure, you should feel free to call the school's dept. of music and ask.)

A resume should include your objectives but, since space is at a premium, it often has to do so in a crisp sentence or two. If you feel that a more detailed explanation is in order, then I suggest that you do so on a separate page.

The resume has three basic functions: tell them what you want, tell them what you have to offer and tell them how to contact you if they are interested. The first is essentially your short statement of objectives and the third is a straightforward listing of name, address, phone number(s) and email address(es). Most of your space will be spent on the second item. You can include things like highlights of your musical experience, your musical education, representative repertoire, any relevant volunteer work and an overview of your non-musical academic pursuits. Anything that does not directly address the question, "Why should I be interested in S2530S2?" probably does not belong in this part of the resume.
