I just submitted the activities section since I was FINALLY able to track down my college counselor. Unfortunately he made me late to volleyball practice by 15 minutes for lecturing me about the environment... but that's another story. :p

I just thought it was funny that the remarks section was limited to 2,000 characters and my final count is 1,999. :D

Utah-- Transcripts are something that are sent by the school to USNA. The activities part was in the online application that I've been able to send all summer but couldn't without my college counselors e-mail address. College counselor is someone at my school who deals with students and colleges... helping them get in, verifying extracurriculars, etc.

Thanks WP -- I'd say now is continue-to-pester-teachers-for-recomendations time. :p

One can send in the application as soon as it's available on line, but the HS's college counselor must certify the self-reported information (grades and activities report). The HS must also confirm that 1st semester senior grades seem to be holding. In our case, that must also be provided to our US senator for nomination purposes.

I had my BGO interview back in early August and on the candidate info it says that the interview has not been submitted. When I asked my BGO she said that she sent it in, it just takes a while for Navy to process it. Should I be concerned? I have everything else complete.

I concur with 2012mom. After the BGO submits the interview comments online, the candidate receives an automatic email notification and the status in the Candidate Information System (CIS) is changed to reflect the submission.

Since the interview status hasn't changed in the CIS, I would assume that the BGO hasn't completed the submission yet. Sometimes the BGOs are extremely busy with other commitments and it takes a while for them to fulfill their BGO responsibilities. My daughter had an interview for USAFA on 5 August and it took over a month for the interview to be processed online.

BGOs SHOULD submit their interview comments soon after the interview if, for no other reason than memories fade. However, as noted, we do have real lives and some people may make notes right after the fact and input them later. If/when the interview comments submission becomes the one item holding up completion of your packet, I suggest sending a respectful note to your BGO asking if he/she has had the opportunity to input the comments. That gentle nudge should work.

If you still have a number of items outstanding, get those in and, in the meantime, the interview comments might be completed.

The interview is the only thing not completed. I had the interview back in early August. The problem is that I already talked to my BGO and she said she sent it in. Should I call admissions and see if it is a techinical/ internet problem?
