The application doesn't appear to be out yet. The website says sometime in September. But was wondering if anyone knows whether the supplimental essay will be the same as last year ("Describe a time your values were tested") Do they usually change the question from year to year or is it always the same? Thanks so much for any information!!

That was my question when I applied (I'll be a sophomore at Midd), and it looks like that was the question for the freshmen, so I don't know why it wouldn't be the question this time around. I don't think colleges tend to change their questions drastically year to year, although they may make minor changes to the formalities of the application.

Thanks so much!!

Yup my question too...I'm now gonna be a freshman at Midd this year. I have a freind who is now a senior...but is actually applied 5 years ago because he took a year off in college and his question was the same. So I guess that Midd feels that the question is a time-tested way of sorting out an applicant's writing abilities and experience(s). I also suppose that this is a relatively imp part of the application...it, along with the common app essay, is one of the major ways to distinguish yourself from the other applicants, the majority of whom have great test scores, GPA etc etc.
Good luck for your application to Midd...hope to see you next year!
O

Yes, that's the essay Q this year. I got the viewbook and application (even though I'm an 07) this summer.

Hey Calkidd...just wondering, what are the names of the students in the Midd viewbook? I was looking for someone who I know is supposed to be in there. Thanks a lot!

colleges make no sense to me. They have time to send app to rising juniors who don't need them until next year but yet they haven't sent me one and I requested one. It's just so rediculous (sp?)

Oxymoron, I'm sorry but I cut up the viewbook so that I could stick the pictures onto my binders ;) and I threw away the rest.

Shiningstar, I think I got one because they don't know what grade I'm in. I requested info but I don't think I specified when I was going to enter college.

Thanks anyway...do you know if I can find the viewbook online???

I don't think so. I think it'd be easiest to get one from admissions when you arrive on campus (I assume you're going to be a frosh there this fall?). It's reallllyyyyyyyyyy pretty. :)

Thanks calkidd...good luck with your app!
