I believe the deadline's sometime in February, but most applicants get their applications in long before that. Early bird gets the worm when it comes to West Point, so the earlier you get your app in, the better.

Timing for the actual app isn't a big deal, if you want an LOA go in early...if you don't care, just get the whole thing in Marc. To be honest, I sort of applied hapharzardly and it all came out fine:) The thing you need to be early on is your request for nominations. I started nom apps in Late august, didnt start west point till decemberish, started annapolis the feburary prior (junior year) none of it really matters though if your a strong candidate.

NO!! dont do that. no offense, ragmanlaw...but you want to get your application in as soon as you possibly can. Dont wait till march, unless you got a perfect SAT score, a 4.0 gpa, and doubled the maxes on the CFA.
just kidding...kind of.

This post is four years old…but my previous post here is completely wrong. Unfortunately someone close to me did what I advocated here (at his own behest) and didn’t get in despite a strong application. An early application is VERY important!

Candidates should make every effort have their WP applications complete by the end of November.
