Applied as a freshman, now again as a transfer

If one applied previously for freshman admissions, was rejected and now is applying again, what all information about the student does the college have? Test sores, recommendations, transcripts, original application...
I know that they ask for everything again, but I was just wondering...

I think UCs have all the informations about the applicants. I recently checked my 2 years old freshman applicant information email from UCI and found out its UCI ID is same as transfer's. Also they requested proof of something i did not put in transfers application but in freshman's

Any idea about schools like Harvard, Penn etc.

they have them too

does every college save the stuff?

i applied to brown last year, and when i contacted this year about transferring, they said they didnt keep records.

pkevingg... geez, are you serious?! I thought they don't keep your application. my personal statement is pretty much the same stuff... although I did add new stuff which happened in the past two years.

Yeah, UCI, UCR, and UCLA IDs stay the same for me when I applied as a freshman and as a transfer.

actionrunner - the same thing happened to me too. when i visited last april i asked them if they kept records - someone said they did... someone obviously lied to me. (though i ultimately didn't apply there to transfer)

some schools do keep records, though, just call and ask. you might not have to send in SAT scores again... which is a plus... any way to save a little money :)

yeah...that's true... but do we need to send SAT scores?! or just the AP?!

most likily, you need to send everything again

oh....thanks, newbyreborn

Omg This Sucks...

if they have your application you shouldn't have to send in SAT scores again. and mostly likely you don't need to send in AP scores unless you are admitted and decide to go to that school. but i would call just in case.
