applied AUGUST 19TH HAVEN'T HEARD YET!

Hey all! for those of u who have been long time posters i used to be Skulkarni. for those of u who remember me, i have always been and still am very anxious and have loved the unversity of michigan for as long as i can remember. because of this love, i applied on august 19th using the online application. i got my teacher recs and counselor recs in the end of my junior year so i could apply before school started. the university received everything and sent me an email confirmation saying they did on august 23rd. just to make sure that they got everything, i called them and they told me they had gotten everything. i called again last week to make sure AGAIN that they got everything. why haven't i heard yet? i haven't been defferred, i haven't been accepted, i haven't been rejected - i just haven't heard! why not!

That's very odd. You should ask why you haven't heard from them. They even state that it takes 4-5 weeks to get your decision out to you.

Join the club. I applied fairly early, September 27 (not as early as you), and I still haven't heard. I called the other day to ask what was going on, and the lady on the phone said that "it was very normal and that it can take up to 14 weeks sometimes."

I'm still very anxious about it though.

your decision may have gotten lost in the mail. Having applied so early, I don't see why you wouldn't get in.

yeah youre decision must have gotten lost or something, because they officially claim that it will be done within 12 weeks, and for you its been something like 14 and a half weeks i think. Whenever you call, they tell you 12 weeks from the completion date, so you should call and complain, and if you could also tell them to hurry up on the people who applied two months after you (me)

I talked to the admissions recently, they said that for some applicants it can be as low as 4 weeks and for others as great as 16 weeks. They told me to allow 12-16 weeks from when they received the materials for them to make their decision
