Cornell's Applied Economics and Management (AEM) has everything I am looking for. It is the culmination of a beautiful campus and the education that draws me to Cornell. Here are my stats:

APs (so far)- Biology:5 Chemistry:expecting a 4 or 5 US History:expecting a 2 or 3

Classes- These are the APs I either have taken or will be taking senior year: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, US History, US Government (Political Science), English. For senior year math I will be taking Regular Calculus.

EC- Hundreds of hours of volunteer work; a number of awards including placement in citywide (NYC) and statewide science olympics, science and history fairs, perfect attendance for 7 years; during the summer I have been doing scientific research as part of a program through the local college; I am a paper boy; I hold office in a number of clubs and organizations including the Italian American Culture Club and National Honor Society. I also was the overall director in the biggest student run production (led over 300 students to produce a play).

I was planning to apply Early Decision to the AEM program.

How are my chances of the AEM program? Is there anything else I should do/change/add on to?

Please be brutally honest. Thanks for all of you input.

Hey, i am an AEM major, your rank is fantastic, if you could pull your SATs up just a little more that would be huge. AEM is the most competitive major at Cornell to get into as it was just established two years ago as an accredited business school. I think you have a good shot as of now, but just try and get those SATs up a little

Sports--
I know my SAT scores are low but I am hoping that my high average and rank will make up for the scores being below average.
What were your stats compared to mine?

I was valedictorian and had a 1440 SAT score, but I think your averag is incredible and I think that they may overlook your scores because of your average - definitely go early and I think you have a great shot -

I think that for this program they will have a hard time overlooking the math scores, especially since the SATII is mathI. This is a program super heavy on math. I would really focus on raising the SATI math score and preparing for the IIC to have a much stronger shot.
