Applied ED. My guidance counselor and teachers sent in the recommendations, transcripts, and other required forms four weeks ago but when I log in, it states the only form received is the common application. Even the supplemental form (sent same day as common app) is listed as not received.

Is this pretty common or should I start some follow up?

i have the same issue and i'm worried! i keep checking to see that i did actually submit the supplement and i did! the email said that it will take a few weeks, though...

well. im in the same situation..
my counselor and teachers sent all the materials...
and i on collegeboard, it says that my scores have been sent to cornell.
but on the application status, only commonapp is received.not even my supplement is received which was submitted on the same day as the commonapp.
im guessing that they have a lot of stuff go through.....

Due to the large volume of information we are receiving, there may be a 1-2 week delay between the time your materials arrive in our office and when theyre entered into our system. You should check your online application status account for daily updates on what we have received and processed. If you are an early decision applicant and are missing any materials, you will be notified within the next few weeks and given time to submit them.

yea SAME exact thing..i was going to start a thread asking whats wrong until i saw this! it says received: common app but it didnt get my sats, sat IIs, teacher recs, guidance rec, and transcript an di sent all of those weeks ago. im glad we're all in the same boat though

Same as everyone else... I emailed them and they just sent back a form letter saying they've gotten a ton of apps and it's going to take a while. Like Lauren's said, I'm just glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

I called and they said that they have a TON of mail to sort through and it will take weeks. Don't worry, if they don't have something they'll ask you for another copy and you won't be penalyzed or anything

I wonder if they're annoyed at the # phone calls they're getting from people checking up on their apps.

I called in today for a different reason, but the lady on the phone still cut me off mid-sentence and said "Did you see the posting on the self-seervice?? We are piled with mail right now that we have to sort out..."

with the number of applications they're recieving, and the stuff htey have to do ...IM SURE memphismom, that they are not recording down each paranoid prospective freshman (including myself) that calls

Ok, am I crazy?? Does anyone else check their application status 2-3 times a day? I'm not usually like this, but I will feel SO much better when I know they have received everything. Do you think Cornell keeps track of how many times you check the status? Will they think I'm a nut???

no, they won't but you (and your friends and your parents and your dog etc etc ) will feel frantic and anxious -
SO - fill out an application for a different college that you could be happy going to and go to your high school football game tonight and maybe a movie this weekend etc

I'm a senior...waiting to hear from my dream school...I thought I was supposed to feel frantic and anxious! :) lol I actually already applied (and was accepted (thankfully!)) to another University with rolling admission, so it's not that I'm worried I won't be going to college, it's just that I REALLY want to go to Cornell!

Actually, it's not really that bad :) ...I just like to check the status because I know that once I know they have everything, I am going to try to think about other things for the next 40+ days! Thanks for the reply!
