Applied for Fall '09 Denied, offered Spring '10 - How would defferal work?

I applied for Fall '09 and was denied. They did offer me Spring '10.

If I were to defer, which means I believe I have to submit an application again in a year when I want to go, does that mean I can potentially get in for Fall '10?

What does it mean when they don’t let you in for Fall but for Spring? i.e. what is the point of it? Are they expecting people to not actually go or drop out?

Is there anyway to check online to which school you were admitted?

Thanks

Defer means for specific reason you can't go right now. If you re-submit you will than go in as transfer. Defer= medical, military, things you have no control over.

It means if your heart is set on UMDCP you need to still prove yourself, by carrying a certain gpa. Don't carry it and you don't get in for spring. Yes, they expect people to drop out, and there will be people that graduate in Dec. It's all about numbers. They know the avg that leave mid-yr and the avg that will accept freshman connection. It is all a part of their equation.

If you have spring, you are going to be in the general admission ---You can later apply for Clark, Smith, etc., but for now you are not in any specialty program or school.
