<p>I applied to University of Miami's Frost school of Music, Rice's Shepherd School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, Mannes "The New School", and Juilliard for classical voice/opera undergraduate division. I am wondering when they will notify me about my prescreening, because I need to plan in advance for how I will go about next semester. It would be great if people who have auditioned in previous years to one or more of these music schools could tell me. Thanks and I really appreciate it! :)</p>
<p>As far as I recall, most of the schools have a December 1st deadline for applications with the prescreen, and they generally let you know if I remember by later in the month. I would expect you would start hearing next week sometime or so…</p>

<p>As @spiritmanager said, see last years thread. Last year Mannes notified before Juilliard and let you pick the date the worked best for you. Both schools do live auditions the same week so it saves you a trip to NYC if you pass both pre screens… Feel free to PM if you have specific questions on auditions at these two schools. D is a VP major.</p>
Mannes notified last week. Eastman notified today. Still waiting on Carnegie Mellon - expecting to hear early next week.
