As the title suggests, I applied to the University of Maryland at the last second. I mistakenly didn’t decide to apply until later in the year. The bigger problem is that I didn’t submit my application until the very last day and my application was submitted at 12:01 AM of the next day. Maryland’s website says that applications submitted past January 20 are considered on a space available basis. Am I out of luck? I am hoping that the admissions counselors are lenient of it being 1 minute past the deadline. Will my admission chances be affected? Also, when does Maryland usually send out decisions for non-priority applicants. Thanks.
Regular Application Deadline
January 20: You’ll receive a decision by April 1 if you complete the application by this date.
Applications received after January 20 will be reviewed on a rolling, space-available basis.

Hawk-I thanks for the response. I am aware of this information. My question is, however, whether or not my admissions counselor will be lenient with this deadline.
Then why not contact your admission representative directly for an answer to your question?

Yeah I’m planning on calling tomorrow. I wanted to see if someone had insight on the matter in the meantime.
