Applied Math? At Columbia College?

<p>I'm filling out my Columbia supplement, and I am applying to Columbia College since I don't meet the SAT testing requirements for SEAS. It gives me applied mathematics as one of my three academic areas of interest. I am looking at the majors offered by CC, and applied math doesn't seem to be offered outside SEAS. Columbia excludes the other SEAS choices from my list, such as biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering.</p>

<p>Since it seems like CC doesn't offer applied math, I shouldn't put that down as an academic interest right?</p>

<p>For what it’s worth, I wrote my entire “Why Columbia” essay about a department that in fact does not exist at Columbia and Admissions didn’t seem to notice.</p>
