Applied Math vs Math/Econ?

Hey y'all
Right now, I'm an applied math major with a business minor. However, there is a joint-major option for math/econ here at UC San Diego. I was just wondering if one is better than the other, in terms of marketability. I'm not necessarily going into finance or banking or the like when I graduate, but it's nice to have that option. I'm leaning towards being an actuary or market research analyst, but really, anything can happen.

I'm just interested in knowing which one would make it easier for me to get a job after I graduate (I'm not planning on going to graduate school), with everything else equal. Regardless of what major, I'm still pursuing that business minor.

http://www.beanactuary.com can help you with preparation for actuarial jobs and careers. Be sure to include the VEE (Validation by Educational Experience) courses listed for your school.

Yeah, I checked that out before.
