Applied Mathema in Emory

How is App Math in emory university? Is it well reputed?

I want to be an actuary after graduation. Is emory the right place for my academic interest?

Are you already at Emory?

Why would a high school kid wanna be an actuary?

Your major doesn’t matter much.
But applied math is a good way to go.
Certain classes you should take though outside your major.
Lots of alternative career paths if you change your mind. And great for actuaries too.

Still don’t think high school kids should be trying to be actuaries.

There’s some neat HFT and similar jobs that have been popping up on Eagle Ops. Do that instead, and, if you want an easier lifestyle, switch to actuarial science.

That career isn’t going anywhere
