<p>I was wondering if I could start with a thread on discussing on how an applied math major can become marketable. I hear there are jobs for math majors but it seems that the traditional college curriculum doesn't really allow applied math majors to practice applied math in the same manner engineers get to do engineering. I was wondering if there are any applied math majors out there with jobs who may have some advise for fellow math majors on what skills they should posses.</p>
