Applied MS in computer science, especially with funding?

Hey guys,

I'm currently looking for a grad school to get a masters in Computer Science. I have a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (3.8 GPA) and my GRE scores are 167Q 155V 4.0W. I have done some research with NSF and NASA (but not in Computer Science)

I am looking for a school that has a modern (in terms of curriculum), very applied program and good academic standing. I am looking to work in a startup or a big Tech company after graduation.

I don't want to limit my school search to rankings only, so I am wondering if you guys have some schools for me that fit my criteria. Preferably with funding opportunities for someone with my profile.

Thank you for any help.

If you post this in the Grad School forum you’ll probably get some good advice.

Your chances of getting funding for a Masters degree are higher at universities that do not have Ph.D. programs. The California State university system is one good example and for software, San Jose State is well positioned.
