Applied to all my schools but now want to drop AP Bio- should I?

So I already sent in all my applications, but AP Bio has really been giving me a hard time and it’s really not looking too good. The quarter ends next week and I have a 70 average, and have only gotten one 90 on a quiz (everything else was 75 and below). I didn’t take chem so I’m really struggling, plus the teacher’s teaching style is pretty ridiculous (goes through PowerPoint for one day, 2+ quizzes a week, huge tests that you find out about two Dayan before). I’m starting to think that it would be better for me to drop than to try to stick it out.

My schedule currently consists of AP Biology, AP English Lit, AP Gov, Computer Science, and Spanish 5. I don’t really have any substitute options for science except for physics and marine science because I already took anatomy, but physics doesn’t even fit in my schedule. I don’t want to compromise my competitiveness and seem like a quitter, but I also don’t want colleges to see that I’m getting a 70 in AP Bio. I’m purposely sending all my first quarter grades because they’re all above a 92 (highest is a 99) except for bio.

I’ve tried a tutor, countless review books, and studying for hours on end. I had a 96 in the last bio class I took but it seems like this one really isn’t working out for me.

I’m applying as a psychology major to all my schools except one, where I’m applying as a marine bio major.

Should I drop? And if I do, do I need to contact my schools and let them know (if so, via email or phone?)

Talk to your guidance counselor. Note that if you drop the class you will have to inform all of the colleges you have applied to.

@happy1 I did, unfortunately didn’t help me in my decision at all- basically told me to try harder because at least I’m not failing, but I’ve pretty much exhausted all my options.
