I was set on applying to CAS @ NYU, but after hearing some great things about Gallatin, I decided to switch. When I changed my selection on Common App, however, the site apparently did not save my selection, and I applied to CAS instead of Gallatin.

Why didn't I "Print Preview"?

I was filling out my app on Google Chrome at the time, as Firefox is deathly slow on my computer. It may have just been me but Chrome doesn't support the preview option on Common App.

What can I do to change this? I've sent them an e-mail and will call them tomorrow, but I've read on CC that there is a different part to the app for Gallatin where I designate my intended major and path of study. Is this true?

its not a requirement, so you don’t have to do it. it would probably have helped your application but unless they’ll still let you write it i wouldn’t really sweat about it. not a lot of people know about the essay to begin with. in fact probably more than half of the kids who did ed 1 didn’t do the essay.

I don’t know about the extra essay for Gallatin, but if you want to apply to Gallatin instead of CAS I would email one of the admissions counselors asking them to change it for you. Make sure that once you get the email about how to check the status of your application that it says you applied to Gallatin and not CAS. Good luck!
