When I submitted my application to Columbia, I applied to Columbia College, but the letterhead on my online decision letter says "Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science". Does this happen irrespective of which school you applied to? Or is it some strange case of being considered for a school other than the one you applied to? I know this will probably be in my decision letter, but I'm international and my letter could take quite a while to get here and I really don't want to wait! :D

sounds strange, i’d call columbia tomorrow to confirm. they have people manning the phones the day after letters go out.

my guess is that it would be a snafu for the online letter and not real. there are many checks that would have had to happen before they thought you were better for engineering than the college. like you’d have to tell them which majors (engineering majors) you would want to study and write the why engineering piece.
