I really want to study journalism and mass communications at UNC but I applied to communication studies because I didn't see an option to apply for the J-school. I figured that you couldn't apply to the school as a high school senior. However, now I see that it was possible to declare intended major as the J-school. Can I just change my intended major easily? And if I have to go in as a sophomore am I falling behind on classes, as in are other freshmen allowed to take classes in the J-school that begin to fulfill their major requirements?
