I applied to Cornell as a transfer student for fall 2012.
Last week I submitted my mid-term report. And just now I was surfing the net, and found that for students who would like to major in Communication (including myself), there are a number of required courses that we have to complete prior to transfer. I realized I can't complete "One full academic year of Introductory Biology (labs not required)." I am taking Physical Anthropology now, but it's just one-semester-course. Will it affect my application much?

Thanks!!

Maybe you should call them to explain the situation. It probably won’t look good that you didn’t do your research beforehand, but it couldn’t hurt to call! Maybe you could try taking biology over the summer? I’m not sure how much it will affect your application.

Well, actually I called them once and the staff said that there is no required courses that I need to take for application (except English and Math…). So, well… I guess I will call them tomorrow.
