What’s the last one (we know CSUMB which you don’t like, UCB, UCSC).
With your scores you are probably in at UCSC and a high maybe at UCB! Good luck!
The number of schools one should apply is a function of the selectivity of target, reach, and safety schools as compared to the applicant’s profile, understanding that once you go below a ~20% acceptance rate every school is a reach.
Nothing wrong with it my 2nd to oldest visted quite a few applied to 1 and she is done.
Not competitive loves the school couldnt be happier.
@MYOS1634 The last one is Stanford - super reach. It is also close by, and strong in computer science. I probably won’t get in, but I’ll try. What irks me is that I am at the top of my class (2/514), but people get shocked at my college list. I didn’t apply to more elites like Ivies, MIT, CalTech, etc…
If you like your list it’s okay not to apply to more reaches, and as I said your odds at UCSC with honors and Regents are quite good, but since your odds at UCB and Stanford are low, a couple matches would be a good idea just in case.
