I know they don’t require LOR but would it hurt me if I applied w/o one? I still did the optional Why Tulane essay. Has anyone been admitted w/o a LOR? I don’t know why I’m just worrying about this now.
Btw I applied with a 4.19W gpa and 31C ACT (also URM)
@ZBlue17 - In my opinion, I think a LOR is a great way for the admission counselor to learn more about you, as a person. Although there are probably (most definitely) people who get admitted without a LOR, I think submitting a LOR can only help your application. The Secondary School Report is, technically, a LOR but from your high school counselor.
In short, although not required, there is no harm in sending a LOR. At the same time, not sending one is not an automatic deferral/deny. Always important to take advantage of opportunities for an admission counselor to learn more about you. Information in the LOR may provide them with info they would not be able to get just by reading your application.
