Applied to U of M last night...

I haven't received an email from them yet. The submission page states: "We've also emailed you a copy. Please keep this file for your records."

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive this email? Thanks so much!

Did you receive the e-mail finally?
My D just submitted her application last night and she did not receive anything from them yet. We’ve printed out the application though.

I am just sorting through all S2’s old college paperwork from 2011 and I could not find the email you are referring to (though procedures have prob changed in the last few years). I did find an email from October (son applied in August) stating that all the pieces of his application were complete and that it would now be submitted for review. You can keep up on your child’s status / missing pieces by using the application tracker.

[Application Tracker](Application Tracker | Office of Admissions)

If you are missing a student ID # and the above directions don’t lead you there, just call admissions or the help desk and ask. They are very receptive to phone calls.

Good luck!

Thanks. We are looking everywhere to find the syident ID. I thought it would be included in the acknowledgment e-mail. Indeed, I found the e-mail, but there is still no student ID in it.

I never received an email, but I was able to find my student ID on an email from February. I logged into the application tracker system and it states that they do not start reviewing applications until October, so I assume that I will be receiving an email then.

My D actually got an automatic response e-mail after submission that reminds her to submit scores and transcript. It also confirmed the submission of application. We looked back on her e-mail account, Her first e-mail from UMN was a month ago presumably after I request the application information. We only found her login name and password in all the e-mails from them but no student ID. Anyway, she sent a request online last night to ask about it. UMN should receive the scores and transcript next week. We will go back to check to see if everything is received in a couple weeks.

I never got a confirmation email, but my materials showed up as submitted on the tracker about four days after I submitted my application!

UMN responded to my D’s email yesterday and sent her the student ID number. But it said it may take a couple days before it is active in their system, so we still could not use the tracker yet. I wonder if I can find out if they have received the transcript and ACT score from the tracker. It is a bit confusing for us. My D’s school submit transcripts electronically through Parchment upon student’s request online. We did request and submit online, but there is no place to put that registration code on it. Anyway, my D bring the form to the general office to see if they need to submit it again by other means. It would be great if I can find that info on the tracker.

I submitted my transcript and ACT scores about three weeks before I submitted my actual application. I could not access the tracker until several days after I submitted the application itself.

My D got another e-mail update from UMN yesterday (3 days after submission) to confirm the application received and said it will be reviewed in October. It said at that time she will be notified if there is anything missing. Nevertheless, we got a delivery report from parchment that the transcript has been delivery to UMN successfully.

I am able to access my Application Tracker and all of my materials are stated are being there, including my application, high school transcript, dual enrollment/community college transcript, both of my ACT score reports, and my SAT score report. The page states that admissions are rolling and notifications of admissions begin in November. I still haven’t received that initial email :(

As things progress, your application tracker will change to read something like “you are being carefully considered” These are exciting times! Good luck to all.
