Applied to University of Pittsburgh late March. Will I get in?

Hey guys, I just applied to the University of Pittsburgh (25/3) for Neuroscience. My SAT is 1450/1600, 3.75 GPA.
Do you think I’ll get into the main campus?
Thanks!

No one here can answer that question. Your stats look good, but you applied very late. It depends on how full they are at this point.

It’s unlikely. Don’t you have other choices? Why are you applying there so late?

I applied to Pitt on 03/11/2017 out of panic since I was being rejected left and right, and I was accepted around the 24th. And my stats weren’t so pretty and my school never sent the transcript. They accepted me off of my SRAR into Bioengineering at the Swanson School. So I wouldn’t sweat it. You’ll probably hear back from them next week (or late this week).

Just want to clarify - if you submit a Self Reported Academic Record (SRAR), you don’t need to send a transcript for admission consideration. We do ask students who choose to commit to Pitt to send a final, official high school transcript before they come to fall classes. Congrats on your admission, @CougarCatClan.

A Pitt Admissions Staffer

I applied pretty late with a 3.66 GPA and a 28 Comp on the ACT and didn’t do any of the optional anythings. I was put on the wait list for the engineering school, but was alternatively offered a spot in the college of Arts and Sciences so I just accepted that admission instead. I often wonder why they accepted me even though my numbers weren’t stellar and I didn’t put any effort into my application.

Just drawing from my experiences I think you should be fine.

Are you in-state or out-of-state?
