Applied to Wharton ED - now wondering if I made the right choice

I have applied to Wharton ED but now I'm wondering whether I made the right choice. On my application I have stated that I will not need any financial aid. Recently, however, many things have happened to our family and we simply might not be able to afford to go to Penn for all 4 years even if I get accepted.

Any advices?

Apply for financial aid. If you can’t get the forms in on time, withdraw your application – and do it quickly.

Okay. Should I first explain my situation to the admissions office by calling them?

Sorry that was a rather stupid question.

You can ask Penn to convert your ED application to a RD application. I know someone who did that and it wasn’t a problem. She ended up being accepted regular decision. Good luck.

do it quickkkk

Yes, definitley change it to regular D. What happens if you get in early, and in February, Penn comes back with a financial aid package that isn’t good enough? What are you suppose to do then? Its to late to apply elsewhere and your basically screwed. My reccommendation is to change it to RD right away!

see if you can apply for finaid ED, and calculate your EFC, Penn will give you aid without loans to this amount (usually). otherwise change to RD and apply for finaid
