I would greatly appreciate your advice on this issue. I have realized recently that I applied to UCLA as a transfer under the wrong major. I put "Psychobiology" instead of "Psychology". Upon this realization I immediately called UCLA in hopes of correcting it but they said that it was too late and I would have to just wait for an admission decision.

I know I will be awaiting a rejection letter seeing that the requirements for Psychobiology are completely different from those of Psych. So I am currently working on an appeal letter however I am very doubtful of the result. I hear that because it was my fault for the error the appeal will not be effective.

I would greatly appreciate your opinion in this matter and perhaps any points that i should highlight in my appeal letter that will make it more compelling.

Some of my Stats
CC GPA: 3.92
All pre-reqs (for Psych) completed by Spring
I am completing the 60 units required to transfer in one year instead of two.
I have been working part/full time during this year, received November Employee of the Month.

I think you meant to post this on Ms. Sun’s blog. It can be found at [Ms. Sun’s Admissions Blog for Highly Selective California Public Universities](http://askmssun.livejournal.com/) To my knowledge, she doesn’t reply directly to people on this forum.

Does anyone know what the best procedure is to update imperative information on my UC application? I have applied to UCLA and I was currently updating grade information when I discovered that my major choices are switched. I have written my personal statement on my intended major and it will not make any sense upon review. My second choice was just a back up plan of interest! If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. It is Saturday today and I have to wait until Monday to call for direct response.
