Apply as engineering major or undecided?

Which is better? Which gives me the better chance of getting in?

Thanks.

I don't think either will help dramatically, unless, per say, you're applying to Cornell engineering or another engineering college more competitive than the university.
If you know you want to do engineering, apply as an engineering major. If have some doubt, then apply undecided.

Yeah, I think typically engineering school are a little harder to get in esp for Berkeley because the school of engineering is really good. However, if you must have the major it'll be better if u get in to the engineer school (they might have undecided within the school of engineer) if not, your chances might be higher w/ undecided

Wait, how is Cornell's Engineering more competitive than its school? The acceptance rate for engineering is higher than all other colleges. Or do you mean that people who apply are also brighter?

cornell engi has the highest stats score wise, so yes that's what he meant.

where can you find the stats of cornell engi?

It depends on what school you're applying to. Most schools don't really care about your declared major because they know you're probably going to change your mind four or five times after you get in.
