apply early or wait?

Here's the deal (pretty much the same as everyone on here). I have a 2070 SAT (1430 M+V) Score and a 3.75 UM GPA. I am contemplating taking the SAT again to up my chances at UMich, but i'm worried it may not be in time for early response. Should I go ahead and take the risk or wait?

Thanks in Advance

Instate or OOS?

i'm OOS :(

Apply as early as possible. Most of the time, they won't flat out reject (unless you have a 2.0 GPA and a 1500 SAT), they will only defer until a later time, when you can retake the SAT.

yeah, i actually just talked to an admissions person from UM about this, and she said they have to have more than one reason to reject you (e.g. SAT and GPA), so if the SAT is your only weak point, apply and they'll either accept or defer you. So basically what runforfun529 said.

wow vc08 you are amazing at finding all this out

i guess i'm too lazy to do it

thanks. that's what happens when your hs counselor knows absolutely nothing about colleges...you kinda have to figure it out on your own. when i told her i was interested in umich, she replied with "oh, great! finally someone from our school is applying to the ivy league!" OMG.
