Visited campus today with information session
my high school: last year 23 applied, 0 got in. year before 24 applied, 2 got in

thinking of majoring in polysci and international relations, or chemistry, applying to CC

Race and region would be very helpful to know, though your EC’s look pretty solid. Your SAT II’s also look pretty good - they only take top 2 so 790 / 770 are very nice.

SAT I could be a bit higher. I like your AP Exam test scores. Your GPA is also pretty good.

Another thing to consider is how you compare with the other people from your school, because the same admissions officer will read all of the apps.

I’d say that Columbia is a reach for you - though you definitely have a shot.

Race: Indian (which i doubt works in my favor…)
Gender: Girl
Region: nassau county, long island
School: pretty competitive school with bad track record for columbia
2010: 23 applied, 0 got in (1 into Barnard)
2009: 24 applied, 2 got in… (while 3 got into Harvard, 1 yale, 3 princeton)

Seven ivies from one public school I think is amazing, the fact you are a girl I believe helps you, class rank is something else that could be helpful. Honestly I think if you manage to break the 200 barrier on your SAT score, your chances at being admitted to Columbia will be very good.
