is it possible to apply early decision I to one school, and early decision II to another.. and if you get into the first, just withdraw the other one???

nope. if the two colleges find out that you've committed yourself to two schools (if either of them isnt SCEA), then you will get rejected to both 100%. they don't take it quite well, really. i heard a rumor that there are universal lists for wrongdoers in college application process...

what else would put one on the "list" besides applying to 2 schools ed

Lying on an application. After that, your chance at college is pretty much over.

You can't do it that way... but you can apply EDII to a school if you get rejected or deferred from your EDI school.

Yeah, just have your ED2 app ready the day that you're planning on getting your first ED decision back. I'm pretty sure the entire point of ED2 is for that reason.

what if i already applied as regular decision to the school i want to apply to as ed II... do i just call the admissions office and ask them to consider me as an ed II applicant?

If you don't get into your first choice in EDI, you just send your second choice school the ED agreement to get moved into the EDII pile.
