The two schools that I'm talking about are Wellesley College and Smith College. I have heard from my friends that Wellesley was harder to get into than Smith. I have visited both schools and I actually like Wellesley a little better but still adore Smith!

I wouldn't mind getting going to either of them. Should I do ED to Wellesley and possibly not get in, or do ED to Smith and most likely get in?

Perhaps I’m biased, but I would also suggest looking into Bryn Mawr if you haven’t already. As a prospective student I applied to several women’s colleges, mostly located in New England, but ended up additionally applying to Bryn Mawr on a total whim. When I visited as an accepted student I fell in love with the school and it was the best decision I ever made. Since you’re located in New Jersey, it shouldn’t be a terribly far drive for an afternoon visit.

@ CrewDad - Can we apply for both ED1 and ED2? Isn’t it that we can apply to only one college for ED and ED1 and ED2 are the same thing just with a difference in deadline?

Also, the differences in “difficulty” of getting isn’t terribly different.
Smith accepts 45%
Smith’s middle 50% of ACT scores: 26-31
Wellesley’s 29-32
Wellesley accepts 34%
Smith had 60% in top 10% of Class
Wellesley had 78%

Are you allowed to apply both ED I and ED II?

Bryn Mawr is up there on my list! I visited the campus and yes I love it too! But I really want to go to Massachusetts for college so it’s between Wellesley and Smith :3

I know it isn’t but I don’t want to take any chances! Any one of those schools could be the one and I would hate to not get into any!

^So, the answer to your question is yes.
Let’s say you apply ED1 to Wellesley, if you get in YAY, you’re done and going to Wellesley
If you don’t get in, you can then apply EDII to Smith
