Apply for First Year Scholarship after first semester

My daughter has been accepted to the University of Alabama. Her test scores missed the mark for earning a PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP or any other scholarship for that matter. Does anyone know if she can apply for one of the first year out of state scholarships after the first semester? If yes, what is the criteria they will be looking for. She plans on retaking the SAT. Will they consider a new score.

here is the answer to your question straight from the source

Only entering freshman applying during their senior year of high school (who meet the December 15 priority deadline and submit the required documents) are eligible for these scholarships.** Once you become an enrolled student, you cannot apply or be reconsidered for these scholarships.**

Roxy, the published scholarships are for incoming frosh only.

However, there is an application that your d can fill out next fall for returning scholarships from her major dept. No guarantees. What is her major?

Are you saying that your D had an ACT 26?
