Apply for Regents?

I just got an email from the UCLA office of financial aid and scholarships encouraging me to “apply for the UCLA Regents Scholarship” by answering some supplemental essay question.

That’s the link they send you to. Atleast for me, there’s no button to submit or start the regents application. I am really confused now, since I’ve heard that you don’t apply for regents and you’re automatically considered? Did they change it this year?

This email is a mistake by the FA office. There is no application for Regents and was confirmed by @10s4life. See the posts on the UCLA discussion thread.

The whole process with UCLA’s scholarships has been a little confusing haha. Thanks for clarifying Gumbymom!

@Econlovergyuy. I would call admissions tomorrow to confirm that is truly a glitch. There is a lot of hearsay about this process and in the past there has been Regent invites sent to students. Nothing is stated on the UCLA website and @10s4life is a reliable UCLA contact since they are the UCLA forum champion and also a student ambassador for UCLA currently. I do not want to pass on false information and cause any students needless worry and problems.

Like @Gumbymom said as of this evening I believe it is still a known glitch on UCLAs end. For certainly please call tomorrow. But the fact that you can’t submit means this is prob linked to that still.

It looks like links and options may have changed. Read the Class of 2023 thread and posts by @sammygrammy http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/2085128-ucla-class-of-2023-discussion-p25.html
