I completed my freshman year(Chemical Engineering) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, with a 3.38 GPA. I did alright, but I got a lower GPA becuase of lower grades in my non-engineering courses. I plan on applying to a bunch of places (USC, UIUC, UMich, UT-Austin, Virginia Tech, U Mass Amherst). I’ve completed 30 credits and I’ll do 18 more in fall 2016. I expect I’ll do well in that semester and bring my GPA up to 3.5 at least. Should I try and apply to some of these places for the spring, or apply to all of them for the fall?
