Hello guys, I am currently a sophomore in Umich, and waiting for my transfer decision to Cornell now. What just happened was, I found I selected math major in my common app instead of Econ which I should apply for. So it leads me to an super awkward situation since I was telling them how I like the Econ in there, and I feel it is already too late to notice them. So do you think I should email the transfer office about it, or just leave it there?

If I were you, I’d send them a email. Looks like the app deadline was Mar 15 and that’s not too long ago. Sure, this can be embarrassing but this is a discrepancy they’d probably notice and I wouldn’t want the confusion. If it were a typo or something trivial, I’d let this go.
They’ve probably seen a lot worse in terms of mistakes, and not all mistakes are fatal. We heard quite a few stories from admission officers when we made our college visits last year.

But I have a weekend to think about this, they won’t see the emails until Monday morning
