We live near Purdue, and every year I hear of students who are disappointed by not being admitted to Purdue or not getting into the program in which they are most interested. The Purdue EA deadline is Nov. 1, but please know that admission gets “much more competitive” (per Purdue admissions website) as the year goes on. In addition, the deadline for university-wide merit aid is also Nov. 1. That date is also the firm application deadline for veterinary nursing and the priority application deadline for computer science, nursing and professional flight technology. When these programs are full, you are out of luck! Bottom line, if you are serious about getting in to Purdue or can only attend if you get merit aid, apply by Nov. 1 (or earlier). There is NO advantage in waiting. You’ll also get an admissions decision by Jan. 15, which is also the regular decision deadline.
